Blue Butterfly Floral was created in 2025 as a response to much prayer and love.  Trained as an artist, Melissa has always had a love for color and the art of creating.  Melissa spent the first 16 years of her career as an art educator teaching students from kindergarten to adult.  As a child, Melissa was instilled with a love of flowers from her mom and grandma.  Growing up, her mom always took her on her “flower walks” in her backyard, pointing out the beauty and marveling at how God works!

In May of 2024, Melissa’s beloved father lost his battle with Lewy Body Dementia.  Living next door to her parents, Melissa was with her dad in every part of his illness.  Once he passed away, she felt  lost.  It was her small flower garden in her backyard that brought her peace.  One flower and one bouquet at a time, Melissa started her healing.

In the Fall of 2024, Melissa and her husband decided to build a much bigger garden to fulfill her call creating a small flower farm in her suburban backyard.  It is said, to “Whisper ‘I love you’ to a butterfly and it will fly to heaven and deliver the message”.  It is Melissa’s goal that her flower farm will bring many butterflies to deliver many messages of hope and love to all that encounter it.
